Lambres

Lambres is a commune with 1060 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2011 ) in the Pas -de- Calais, in the Nord -Pas -de -Calais. It belongs to the community association Communauté de communes Artois Flandres.

Geography

Lambres is located on the Scarpe to the north of the department, 47 kilometers west of Lille and 16 kilometers south west of Hazebrouck. Neighboring communities of Lambres are Mametz in the northwest, Aire -sur -la -Lys in the north, Isbergues in the Northeast, the South and Mazinghem Rombly in the southwest. The municipality covers 437 hectares, the average height is 34 meters above sea level, the Mairie stands at a height of 25 meters.

History

Culture and sights

The Gothic church of Saint -Lambert from the 15th century. The bell tower was built in the 17th century. The church is classified as a monument historique since 1913 ( historical monument ).
