Ramin Djawadi

Ramin Djawadi (born 19 July 1974 in Duisburg ) is a German -Iranian composer of orchestral music for film and television.

Career

Ramin Djawadi is the son of an Iranian father and a German mother. He graduated in 1998 Summa Cum Laude from Berklee College of Music. He was then recruited by Hans Zimmer for the Remote Control Productions, where he initially Klaus Badelt assisted. Even Hans Zimmer, he assisted, including such films as Batman Begins and Pirates of the Caribbean. Independent film music he wrote to Blade: Trinity ( with RZA ), Ask the Dust, Open Season, Mr. Brooks, Deception - Deadly temptation and Iron Man. Together with Paul Westerberg Djawadi won an award for his contribution to the score of hunting fever in the 22th Annual ASCAP Film and Television Music Awards.

Djawadi also composed theme songs for television series. Due to his music for Prison Break, he was nominated for the 2006 Emmy Award for "Outstanding Main Title Theme Music " ( " Outstanding theme music "). On 3 September 2007 he released an album with his music for the TV series. In February 2012, he was hired by Guillermo del Toro for his action film Pacific Rim. The film was released in 2013 in theaters.

Among others, he has been writing since 2011, the music for the hit U.S. TV series Game of Thrones.
