The Rimnik (Romanian Ramnicul Sarat ) is a right tributary of the Siret in Romania.

On this river the battle of Martinesti took place on 22 September 1789 in the Russian and Austrian troops defeated the fourfold superior Turkish army under the command of General Alexander Suvorov and Prince Coburg. Suvorov was awarded the title of Count Rymnikski. His son Arcadi died in the same river during the next Russo- Turkish war in 1811.
