Ranchos de Taos is a town in Taos County in the U.S. state of New Mexico. Ranchos de Taos has 2390 inhabitants in an area of 8.8 km ². The population density is 272.2 inhabitants / km ². The village is near Taos between the Carson National Forest and the Taos Indian Reservation. The place is a tourist attraction with its Indian- influenced Mexican cityscape and has an artists' colony. Built in the Spanish Colonial style in the 18th century church of San Francisco de Asis is located a few kilometers south of the village.
