Taos County, New Mexico

The Taos County is a county in the north of the state of New Mexico in the United States. The County has 29 979 inhabitants. The administrative headquarters ( County Seat) is Taos.

Geography

The County is located in northern New Mexico, bordered on the north Colorado and has an area of ​​5710 square kilometers; of which 4 square kilometers of water. The highest point of the county and the entire state is the Wheeler Peak with 4011 m. It is bordered clockwise to the County: Costilla County (Colorado), Colfax County ( New Mexico), Mora County, Rio Arriba County and Conejos County ( Colorado).
