Randhir Singh Gentle

Randhir Singh Gentle (* September 22, 1922, † 25 September 1981) was an Indian hockey player. He belongs to the seven hockey players to have won three Olympic gold medals.

At the Olympic Games in 1948, 1952 and 1956, Singh Gentle stood in the victorious Indian team at a time. He was a hard, but technically very clean defender who became the penalty corner specialist of his team. In 1956, he scored six goals in the tournament, including the goal in the final in a 1-0 victory over Pakistan.

Singh Gentle played at the Hockey Club Independent SC in Delhi. After his career he worked as a trainer in India, Malaysia and Spain.
