Raschèr Saxophone Quartet

The Rascher Saxophone Quartet is a professional saxophone quartet in the classic team with soprano, alto, tenor and baritone saxophone.

Quartet members are: Christine Rall (soprano saxophone), Elliot Riley ( alto saxophone), Bruce Weinberger ( tenor saxophone) and Kenneth Coon (baritone saxophone).

History

Sigurd Rascher (1907-2001) founded in 1969 together with his daughter Carina (Karin ) and with Bruce Weinberger and Linda Bangs the Raschèr Saxophone Quartet, which was established in America at that time. Concert tours brought this occupation in the 1970s, for the first time in the FRG, where after 1945 not yet announced the formation " Saxophone Quartet " until the mid -1970s in the German cultural scene. The quartet moved to Freiburg today.

Since 1969, the Raschèr Saxophone Quartet has made ​​regular appearances in the major concert halls of the United States, Asia and Europe: Carnegie Hall and Lincoln Center in New York, Kennedy Center in Washington DC, Opéra Bastille, Paris, Royal Festival Hall London, Philharmonie Cologne, Finlandia Hall, Helsinki, Concertgebouw Amsterdam, Schauspielhaus Berlin, Vienna Musikverein, Tonhalle Zurich, Parco della Musica Rome, Dewan Filharmonik Petronas Kuala Lumpur, Taipei National Concert Hall, among others.
