Rashid Khalidi

Rashid Ismail Khalidi (Arabic: رشيد خالدي ), ( * 1948 in New York ) is an American- Palestinian historian of the Middle East, Professor of Modern Arab Studies at Columbia University and director of resident Middle East Institute.

He is considered a confidant of U.S. President Barack Obama. The good relationship between the two was on the campaign trail rise to speculation about a deteriorating relationship with Israel..
