The rattle in the Taunus mountains with a height of 539 m above sea level. Sea level, the highest elevation in the independent city of Wiesbaden. In contrast, the highest point of the metropolitan area lies on the southern slope of the Taunus belonging to Stone High root.

The rattle is in the nature park Rhein- Taunus on the right bank Rheinhöhenweg. Near the summit of the wooded mountain, stands the 300 -year-old deer oak.
