Ratos de Porão ( pt: Cellar Rats ) is a Brazilian band from São Paulo, which was founded in 1981.

History

The band was founded in 1981. In the following year took the attended the recordings of the split release sub. The band was present in the recorded music published in 1983 with six songs. After the recordings were a few concerts. In 1984, after João " João Gordo " Francisco Benedan joined the band as the new singer, the group released their debut album Crucificados Pelo Sistema. In 1985 he was a live split release with Cólera called Ratos de porão e Cólera Ao Vivo. Style

The band evolved from an initially pure hardcore punk band to a band that has a mix of thrash metal and hardcore punk plays, where the electric guitars have a slight death metal sound.
