Raúl Bernao

Raúl Emilio Bernao (* November 4, 1941 in Avellaneda, † 26 December 2007) was an Argentine football player.

Bernao belonged from 1961 to the first team of Club Atlético Independiente. With the club from Avellaneda he was Argentine champion in 1963; in the two following years he won with Independiente in each case the Copa Libertadores. More titles followed in 1967 by winning the Campeonato Nacional and 1970 with the victory in the Torneo Metropolitano.

1971 Bernao joined the Colombian club Deportivo Cali. In 1974 he returned to Argentina, but only played a few games for Gimnasia y Esgrima de La Plata, in the same year before he ended his career.

1967 Bernao debuted in the Argentine national team, for whom he played 15 times until 1970 and scored four goals.
