Raymond Wang Chong Lin

Raymond Wang Chong Lin ( * May 12, 1921; † 2 February 2010) was a Roman Catholic priest of the Underground Church and Bishop of Zhao.

Life

Raymond Wang Chong Lin received on 30 May 1950, the ordination. The communist authorities sentenced him in 1957 to 21 years in prison. In 1979 he was able to resume his pastoral work in Hebei Province again. In 1983 he was appointed by the Chinese underground church to the Bishop and confirmed by the Holy See as an episcopal vicar of Wei ( Xingtai). Shortly thereafter, he founded a monastery and 1985 he continued the re-opening of closed in the 1950s diocesan seminary by. In 1988, the confirmation by the Chinese state as Bishop of Xingtai, in the aufgingen the former bishoprics Zhaoxian, Shunde and Weixian.

In 2000 he was imprisoned for the ordination of Jiang Mingyuan with this for five months.

In 2006, he went into retirement and handed his office to Joseph Jiang Mingyuan, who was ordained in 2000 in the underground. In 2007 he took over, however, due to illness of Jiang again the episcopate.

His successor (Administrator) in the Episcopate is Simon Gao Baojin.
