Răzvan Florea

Razvan Ionut Florea (born 29 September 1980 in Constanţa ) is a Romanian swimmer.

Since 2003, he is one of the most successful and consistent back swimmers in the world. He was the first Romanian swimmer, who won an Olympic medal.

At the Summer Olympics in Sydney in 2000, he was sixth in 200m backstroke.

Florea was in Madrid in 2004 vice - European champion in the 200 meters backstroke and won at the 2004 Summer Olympics on the 200 meters backstroke bronze medal. He was also second overall in the Mare Nostrum series this year.

At the European Championships 2006, he won the bronze medal at this track. From 1999 to 2003 he was a Freshman.
