Reading Room West
The Reading Room West ( Læsesal Vest) is the research reading room of the Danish Royal Library (Danish: Det Kongelige Library ), and thus a part of the National Library of Denmark. The reading room is located in the new library cultivation Den Sorte Diamant ( "Black Diamond " ) on the slot Holmen in Copenhagen. He goes back to the founding of the Royal Library by Frederick III. and has several times changed his address.
The objectives of the reading room:
- To enable studies of lesesaalsklausuliertem material
- To provide a large reference collection to disposal
- The possibility for a solid research space to give
Target Group:
- University of Copenhagen
- Researchers from home and abroad
- Others who seek knowledge at a higher level
The reference collection of the reading room is located on two floors. The collection consists of 65,000 volumes and includes several specialties of the Royal Library with an emphasis on humanities and theology.
