Slotsholmen is an island in the center of the Danish capital of Copenhagen, which is home to many government institutions, including the parliament ( Folketing ) and the Supreme Court in Christiansborg, ( Højesteret ), the offices of the Minister and the Prime Minister, the Ministry of Finance and the State Chancellery. In addition, the Royal Library, the National Archives, the former stock exchange and several museums are on the island.

With an area of ​​21 hectares, the island has 18 inhabitants (1 January 2013).
