Ready Steady Cook

Kochduell was a cooking show / game show of the TV channel VOX. The program was moderated since the first showing in September 1997 until the setting on 27 August 2005 by Britta von Lojewski. Kochduell began as a working day broadcast 30 - minute program. The huge success led to the transmission time was soon doubled. In addition, the VOX tried out other cooking shows, so that the cooking duel in March 2004 after the surprising success of a pilot season of Tim Mälzer Tastes not, there's not had to vacate its traditional time slot and was only on Saturdays aired until final cessation as a weekly format.

Idea

Game History

The two laymen bought with a budget of EUR ten foods that were then prepared as creative as possible in the studio with the help of the chefs. After fifteen minutes decided a three-member jury, which team was the better and more creative.

The challenge for the cook ( and entertainment value for the audience ) was besides time pressure in the often absurd compilation of purchases, from which no previously known to produce food was obvious.
