Real C.D. España

Real Club Deportivo España is a football club from San Pedro Sula in Honduras. Currently the club plays in the first division of the country, the Liga Nacional de Fútbol de Honduras.

El España, as the club is also called, is one of the most famous football clubs outside of Honduras.

History

Real España was founded on July 14, 1929 by Pastor Reyes, Juan Banegas, " Teco " Lardizábal, Hugo Escoto Soto and Leonardo Muñoz as Escuela Ramón Rosa, San Pedro Sula.

The Spanish "Real", was awarded the Association of Spanish King Juan Carlos I in 1977. This Real España is the only club outside of Spain, who has been awarded the title "Real" by a Spanish king.
