Real Santander

Real Santander is a Colombian football club founded in 2006 from Floridablanca, Santander.

History

The club plays since 2007 in the Categoría Primera B after he had acquired the right to start the club Pumas de Casanare. In the first two years it was not possible the club to go beyond the league phase. 2009, 2010 and 2012 was the club three times in the group stage, but without being able to qualify for a final. In all other seasons did not make the club move into the group stage. 2011, the club reached the quarter-finals but the Copa Colombia, where he retired against first division side Atletico Nacional. With the club from Medellin Real Santander in 2011 had an agreement that included the loan of young players, to allow them match practice.

Stadium

Real Santander completed its home games at the Estadio Álvaro Gómez Hurtado in Floridablanca. The stadium has a capacity of about 12,000 seats. 2009 to 2012, the club played at the Estadio Alfonso López, the stadium of the city rivals Atlético Bucaramanga, Bucaramanga.
