Rebecka Liljeberg

Rebecka Liljeberg Månstråle (born 13 May 1981 in Nykvarn ) is a Swedish actress.

Biography

Rebecka Liljeberg, the three siblings, is Finnish and Swedish origin. Her second name is Swedish and means moonbeam. In her childhood, the family moved often, before they finally stayed in Stockholm with 15. From 1993 to 1997 Liljeberg has played theater at the local theater group Nynäshamns Ungdoms.

At age nine, she had her first small role in a television series, her biggest international success came in 1998 with the film Show Me Love, for which she won with her film colleague Alexandra Dahlström the Swedish Guldbagge Film Award for Best Actress. After that, she starred in several films and series, before they retired in 2002 from the film business, to study medicine at the Karolinska Institutet in Stockholm. She lives there today with her boyfriend, with whom she now has two children. In her last film, The Kiss of the bear by Sergei Bodrov, she played on the side of Joachim Król. The film was nominated at the International Film Festival in Venice for the Golden Lion.
