Reda Mansour

Reda Mansour (Arabic: رضا منصور; Hebrew רדא מנצור; * 1965 in Isfiya, Israel) is an Israeli poet, historian and diplomat. He published three volumes of poetry in Hebrew and was awarded the Miller Award from the University of Haifa Miller Award as well as a state scholarship for young writers.

Life

Mansour was born in a Druze village in northern Israel. He is a Ph. D. candidate at Middle East History Department of the University of Haifa and a graduate of the John F. Kennedy School of Government (Harvard ). He studied Spanish at the University of Salamanca.

Reda Mansour visited in Haifa, the Leo Baeck Education Center and studied at the Technion University. During this time he was active in various organizations whose aim is to intercultural understanding.

He is the first non-Jewish writer in Israel, who writes exclusively in Hebrew. His short story " Jumblat in the Negev " received an award from the newspaper " Haaretz ". He has also participated in poetry festivals in numerous countries.

Diplomatic career and political activities
