Refuge Jean-Frédéric Benevolo

The Rifugio Gian Federico Benevolo (also Rifugio Benevolo ) is a refuge in the Graian. It lies at an altitude of 2285 m within the community Rhêmes -Notre -Dame on the grounds of the Alpe di Lavassey. The lodge is managed in early March to late May and from mid-June to late September and offers at this time 58 climbers sleeps.

Increase

The increase to the hut begins in Thumel, one located on 1,879 m district of Rhêmes -Notre -Dame. Thumel is at the end of the Val di Rhêmes, a side valley of the Valle d'Aosta.

From the parking lot, head south and leave after a few minutes the track. From there it crosses meadows leads south up the slope.

Are to be estimated 1 ½ hours for any technical difficulties having increase of Thumel.

Tour options

From the refuge you can easy paths within two hours to the lakes Lago di Goulette ( 2.751m ) at the foot of the glacier of Granta Parey or Lago di Sainte -Hélène ( 2,715 m ) with good views of the Val di Rhêmes and on the Granta Parey hike.

• Transition to the outlets located in France Refuge Refuge du Prariond ( 2324 m) over the Col di Rhêmes ( 3094 m)
• Transition to the refuge Rifugio Savoia ( 2534 m) over the Col della Nivoletta ( 3130 m) and the Col Rosset ( 3023 m)
• Transition to the refuge Rifugio Città di Chivasso - ( 2604 m) over the Col della Nivoletta ( 3130 m) or the Col Rosset ( 3023 m)
• Transition to the refuge Rifugio Mario Bezzi over the Col Bassac Déré ( 3.082m ).
