Regina Taylor

Regina Taylor ( born August 22, 1960 in Dallas, Texas ) is an American actress.

Biography

Regina Taylor was born in Dallas (Texas ) and grew up in Muskogee (Oklahoma). Later, the family moved back to Dallas in 1977 and she made her degree at the local LG Pinkston High School.

Early in her career, she took small roles in television films and played in several theater plays on Broadway. From 1991 to 1993 she played alongside Sam Waterston and Jeremy London in the television series I'll Fly Away a major role, for which she was awarded the 1993 Golden Globe for Best Actress in a Drama Series. Then she took a number of supporting roles, among others, in Spike Lee's Clockers or negotiation.

From 2006 to 2009 she was in the television series The Unit - to see a question of honor. For her performance she received a 2008 Image Award for Best Actress.
