Reginald H. Sullivan

Reginald H. Sullivan ( born March 10, 1876 in Indianapolis, † January 30, 1980 ) was an American politician (Democratic Party).

Reginald Sullivan came from a political dynasty. His father, Thomas L. Sullivan was from 1890 to 1893 Mayor of Indianapolis. He held his first political function from 1911 to 1913 as a member of the Senate of Indiana from. 1929 Sullivan was elected mayor of Indianapolis. This post he held from 1930 to 1935 as well as 1939 until 1943. Moreover, he was in 1932 and 1940 respectively delegate to the Democratic National Convention.

1974 Sullivan was chosen as one of the first in the Indiana Democratic Hall of Fame. Reginald Sullivan, who never married, died on January 30, 1980 as one of the most durable politicians of the United States at the age of 103 years and was buried at the Crown Hill Cemetery in Indianapolis.
