Regiojet

Regional Jet (proper spelling RegioJet, RJ short ) is a private railway company in the Czech Republic and Slovakia. It is a subsidiary of Student Agency in cooperation with Keolis.

Lines

In the Czech Republic since September 2011 Regional Jet operates trains between Prague and Havířov, a pair of trains runs daily continue to Zilina ( by bus connector according to Martin). There are plans to extend the route further to Kosice.

In January 2011, Regional Jet won the tender for the operation of regional trains in Slovakia on the route Bratislava - Dunajská Streda - Komárno from March 2012. Thus the railway monopoly of the state railway ZSSK was broken. The plan is to participate in further tenders in Slovakia.

Rolling stock

In Slovakia, Bombardier Regional Jet trains will use talent. Also nine electric locomotives of the series 162 were purchased from Italy by the company Ferrovie Nord Milano.
