Regions of Guinea
The West African state of Guinea is divided into seven regions (French: Governorate ) and a zone Spéciale divided around the capital, each headed by a governor is. The regions in turn are divided into 33 prefectures and 341 sub-prefectures. The regions, named after their capitals are called:
- Boké
- Conakry ( zone Spéciale )
- Faranah
- Kankan
- Kindia
- Labé
- Mamou
- Nzérékoré
