Reiko Shiota

Reiko Shiota (Japanese潮 田 玲子, Reiko Shiota, born September 30, 1983 in Kanda, Fukuoka Prefecture ) is a badminton player from Japan.

Career

Reiko Shiota attended the Aratsu Middle School in Kanda, and then connected to the International University of Kyushu private high school in the neighboring Kitakyushu, like their later team-mate at Unisys Ayane Kurihara. From 22 March 2002 to 30 April 2010, she played for the company team of Sanyo and then changed to Nihon Unisys.

Shiota won her first international title in Scotland a year before their first national title. This Japanese doubles title they gave together with Kumiko Ogura with which they won all their großern success, until 2008 no longer out of his hands. In 2005, both Asia runner-up, in 2007 they took bronze at the same event. In the same year they were also third in the World Cup.
