Reinaldo Rueda

Reinaldo Rueda ( born April 16, 1957 in Cali ) is a Colombian football coach.

Career

Rueda, who speaks fluent German, completed 1990-1991 sports studies at the Sports University in Cologne. His first coaching position was from July 1997 to June 1998 at Deportivo Cali before he worked for Independiente Medellín in 2002. He then coached the Colombian U-20 national team, with at the Junior World Cup in the United Arab Emirates, he won the bronze medal in 2003. As head coach of Colombia, he took part in the Copa América in 2004, some in the U.S. and in the World Cup qualifiers in 2006 at the CONCACAF Gold Cup in 2005. In 2007, the post of Rueda national coach in Honduras. With Honduras, he qualified for the finals appearance at the 2010 World Cup in South Africa. Since 2010, Rueda coached the national team of Ecuador.
