Rendall

The main town of Rendall is Tingwall, where stores the ferry to the island of Rousay.

In the Iron Age originated in this region, the Broch of Burgar, Dishero, Tingwall, Waswick and Hall of Rendall northeast of Gordeness. The Orkney unique stone Doocot (engl, Dovecot (s) - dovecot ) Hall of Rendall is close to the Widefirth. The coast Rendalls is threatened by erosion. Fire and Arctic terns form a colony on the Holm of Rendall. The protected area of Cottascarth is a breeding place of Hen Harrier and wintering area of wading birds.
