Rendition (company)
Rendition, Inc. was a manufacturer of graphics chips in the 1990s. Corporate purpose was the development and sale of high-end graphics chips for the low -cost market.
History
Rendition was established in January 1993 in Mountain View, California and is home there. After several products have been marketed under the Markannamen Rendition Vérité on the market, Rendition was taken on September 14, 1998 by Micron Technology and incorporated as " Integrated Technology Group" ( ITG) in the company. As a result, new graphics chips have been announced, but no product was brought onto the market. Some time later, the development of graphics chips was then terminated.

Programming
As is customary in the time when it ( API) were no standardized programming interface for 3D graphics such as Direct3D or OpenGL or they were not yet widespread, developed Rendition its own programming to exhaust the skills of their hardware. The first was Speedy3D for DOS - based games, which was then a short time later replaced by RRedline for Windows. How 3dfx Rendition published the specifications for its interfaces to increase the spread at game developers accordingly. The corresponding SDKs are still available from the ITG.

Memory
In 2006, the brand name of " Rendition " of Micron Technology was revived for memory products. These products are similar to the Crucial brand designed without the additional service from Crucial to offer, however.
