Rensis Likert

Rensis Likert (* August 5, 1903 in Cheyenne, Wyoming; † September 3, 1981 in Ann Arbor, Michigan) was an American social researcher.

Likert studied at the University of Michigan and Columbia University. He is the founder of the Institute for Social Research at the University of Michigan.

From him the linking pin model and the eponymous Likert scale derived.
