Reprise (film)

In the beginning ( in Norwegian called Reprise) is a Norwegian film from 2006. He is the first full-length feature film by Joachim Trier, who also developed the screenplay with Eskil Vogt. The main characters are Anders Danielsen Lie, Espen Klouman - Høiner and Viktoria Winge. The movie 2006 was the Norwegian Oscar nominee for the award as best foreign language film.

The narrative technique in the film, in black-and- white photographs, Handheld, imaginative montage and voice-over use is made is influenced by François Truffaut and the French Nouvelle Vague.

Action

The 23 -year-old Erik and Phillip dream of becoming a writer. Erik is rejected by a publisher. The talent seems to be missing him. Equal Time- Phillips manuscript is accepted. The young man is a household name overnight in the Norwegian literary public and meets Kari, who becomes his girlfriend. Six months later visit Erik and his friends Phillip in a psychiatric hospital to take him after a long treatment back home. The letter is now the last thing Phillip thinks. Erik has his dream but not give up and tries to persuade his friend, to sit down at the desk. Philip, however, is more interested in bringing his ruined love affair with Kari back to the beginning.
