Republic of Korea Air Force
The South Korean air force or air force of the Republic of Korea ( Hangul: 대한민국 공군, Hanja :大韩民国 空军, English: Republic of Korean Air Force, abbreviated ROKAF ) is the air force of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Korea ( South Korea).
It is under the authority of the Defense Ministry of South Korea. The ROKAF has about 700 airplanes of U.S. origin. Current Supreme Commander is General Sung Il- hwan.

KF -X
The Korea Aerospace Industries KF -X program is a project of the air forces of South Korea to develop a fighter aircraft of the next generation. The efforts are supported by Boeing. The requirements are:
- 2 engines
- Stealth properties
- Weapons bay
The aircraft will replace the aging F-4 Phantoms.
