Residential community

Residents Community (Chinese社区/社区, Pinyin shèqū ) is in the urban areas of China the lowest administrative unit. In rural areas, it corresponds to the village (村cun ) and the Gaqaa (嘎查Gacha ). About the inhabitants of communities is the road district, or the greater community.

In terms of political representation and power the residential communities are of no great significance, however, of very great organization. The implementation of the adopted policy at higher levels, the distribution of mail, the census ( every ten years ) would not be possible without them. Political representation of the residential communities are the " neighborhood committees ", like as " neighborhood committees " (居民委员会Jumin wěiyuánhùi ) refers.
