Residenzplatz

The residence course is as representative and sumptuous place in north-south direction in the center of the old town of Salzburg. The square is bounded on the west of the old residence, in the east of the new residence with the ornate Glockenspiel, and in the south from the Cathedral. History

The Residence Fountain ( courtyard fountain )

The residence is a fountain of Unterberger marble, limestone, carved monumental fountain. It is the largest Baroque fountain in Central Europe and was probably designed 1656-1661 by order of Archbishop Guidobald of tuna by Tommaso di Garona.
