Reza Ghoochannejhad

Reza Ghoochannejhad (Persian رضا قوچاننژاد; born September 20, 1987 in Mashhad ) is an Iranian- Dutch footballer who is since January 2014 at Charlton Athletic under contract. His preferred position is the storm.

Ghoochannejhad began his career at SC Heerenveen, where he belonged to the senior squad in 2005. For the 2006/07 season he was loaned to Go Ahead Eagles Deventer, with whom he played in the Eerste Divisie. After his return he could not prevail at SC Heerenveen and was awarded for the second half of the season 2008/ 09 on the FC Emmen. In summer 2009, he left Heerenveen final and joined again Go Ahead Eagles Deventer. After six goals in ten games, he moved within the Eerste Divisie for SC Cambuur - Leeuwarden. There he played successfully in summer 2011 and moved to VV St. Truiden, with whom he played in the First Division. In January 2013, then moved to Standard Liege. After a year he signed for Charlton Athletic. The most important matches of his career, he scored in an international match against South Korea in June 2013. Iran won 0-1 and thus qualified for the upcoming World Cup in Brazil.
