Rhaeticus (crater)

Rhaeticus is an impact crater on the Moon's front page on the southern edge of the sinus Medii, south of the crater Triesnecker. The rim is heavily eroded, uneven inside.

The crater was officially named by the IAU in 1935 after the German mathematician and astronomer Georg Joachim Rhaeticus.
