Rhossili

Rhossili (Welsh Rhosili ) is a town at the southwestern end of the Welsh Gower Peninsula in the UK; Since 1970, Rhossili is run as a district of Swansea. The name is presumably Rhossili rhos on a combination of the Welsh words, which means moor and heli, which means salt water. In ancient writings one finds the spelling Rose hilly, which speaks for the above theory. The place as such has little more than a hundred residents and is agricultural. However, immediately three most visited tourist attractions are at Rhossili on Gower, namely Worm 's Head, Rhossili Down with The Beacon and the beach at Rhossili Bay, Rhossili is often associated with those terms. Because of these attractions Rhossili is just very very crowded in summer.

In Rhossili can be found on the main car park, the office of the National Trust for Gower with shop and cafe. There are both free hiking suggestions and further information about Rhossili and Gower are to get.
