Rhydian Roberts

Rhydian Roberts ( born February 14, 1983 in Wales ), known as Rhydian, is a British baritone.

Biography

In school, Roberts played rugby long before he discovered classical music at 14 with a visit to the opera for themselves. His susceptibility to injury did the rest and he decided from then on for school musicals and singing lessons. After a classical vocal studies at the University of Birmingham, he appeared as an opera singer and got some awards.

Roberts tried in addition to a recording contract and applied for talent shows. After he was eliminated early in the TV show Any Dream Will Do, he took in 2007 to The X Factor part. The baritone with the eye-catching peroxide - blond hair was very successful and only lost in the final against Leon Jackson. Then it took Sony under contract and the end of 2008 he released his debut album, which carried his name as the title. It was very successful and reached number 3 on the album charts. About half a million copies, he sold it and was awarded platinum.

The following year, the second album of the Welsh singer followed with the title of O Fortuna, which went back into the album charts.
