Rhys M. Thomas

Rhys Thomas Muir ( born July 31, 1982 in South Africa) is a Welsh rugby union player. He plays as a pillar for the Welsh national team and the Scarlets.

Thomas began his career at Newport RFC, where he was active for two seasons before moving to regional selection Gwent Dragons. His national team debut came against Argentina in 2006. Due to heart problems, he came the following year rarely inserts. When he should be re- considered for Wales, he was injured severely and was only used sporadically.

Thomas left at the end of the 2008/09 season, the Dragons and joined the Scarlets. He has signed a there endowed with £ 500,000 three- year contract.
