71.79

Riccius is an impact crater in the southern lunar front side, southeast of the crater Rabbi Levi and southwest of Stiborius. The crater is heavily eroded and often superimposed on the crater rim.

The crater was officially named by the IAU in 1935 after the Italian astronomer Augustine Riccius and the Jesuit mathematician and geographer Matteo Ricci.
