Stiborius (crater)

Stiborius is an impact crater in the southern lunar front side, south of the Mare Nectaris, east of the crater Lindenau and south of Piccolomini. The crater is relatively little eroded, irregular in shape and has traces of landslides and a central mountain inside on.

The crater was officially named by the IAU in 1935 by the German astronomer and mathematician Andreas Stiborius.
