Richard Carrier

Richard Cevantis Carrier ( born December 1, 1969) is an American historian and philosopher. He worked several years for Internet Infidels as editor in chief. In his writings and lectures, he has doubts about the historical existence of Jesus Christ.

Life

Carrier earned his B. A. at Berkeley, and his M. A., M.Phil. and Ph.D. at Columbia University. His view on the historical existence of Jesus was shown in the documentary The God Who Was not There ( 2005). Became famous for a correspondence with Antony Flew. He is listed in Who's Who in Hell.
