Richard Davalos

Richard Davalos ( born November 5, 1930 according to other sources 1935 in New York City ) is an American actor.

Life

Davalos ' career began in the early 50s. In 1955 he became known for his role as Aron in the film East of Eden. In the same year he was also on the side of John Wayne in the war film The Sea Fox to see. As of September 1955, he played in New York in the theater production of A View from the Bridge, the premiere of which was the premiere of the play by Arthur Miller. In 1956 he was awarded for his portrayal of Rodolpho with the Theatre World Award, which is given for Broadway and Off -Broadway productions.

In the following years, he was mostly seen on television, among other things, he made ​​a guest appearance in the series Bonanza. In 1961, he starred in 11 episodes of the short-lived series The Americans, a corporal in the American Civil War. In 1967 he joined one of the prisoners in the movie Cool Hand Luke (OT: Cool Hand Luke ), but he had no voice there.

Davalos is the grandfather of actress Alexa Davalos. The group The Smiths used pictures of him in various publications, including the album Strangeways, Here We Come by 1987.
