Richard Martin Stern
Richard Martin Stern ( born March 17, 1915 in Fresno, California, † 31 October 2001 in Santa Fe, New Mexico) was an American writer. In 1959 he was for his novel The Bright Road to Fear ( German title: No way back ) to the Edgar Allan Poe Award for best first novel. His novel, The Tower (1973 ) served as one of two literary sources for disaster thriller The Towering Inferno (1974).
