Richard Ney

Richard Ney ( born November 12, 1916 in New York City, New York, USA, † 18 July 2004 in Pasadena, California, USA ) was an American actor.

Career

His debut film Mrs. Miniver in 1942, was the same also his greatest success as an actor.

This was followed by several films where he is but mostly seen in supporting roles. In addition, the artist played in numerous television productions.

1967 took the actor into private life in order to start a successful career as an investment advisor and author.

First he joined in Beverly Hills at a stockbroker Association and launched the publication of a newsletter, the Ney The report, which also include J. Paul Getty had among its subscribers. Ney wrote three very critical books on Wall Street, which describe how the market is manipulated by market makers to the detriment of the average investor in a row. The first of these, The Wall Street Jungle, was in the New York Times bestseller list in 1970. Followed the books The Wall Street Gang (1974) and Making It in the Market (1975). Ney at the time: " Behind a facade of pompous posturing and noble inclinations there on the floor of the New York Stock Exchange more perfidious theft per square meter than any other place in the world."

Private

He was the son of Maximillian Ney and Rebie M. Flood. His grandfather was Rev. Theodore L. Flood.

Richard Ney has, in love on the set of Mrs. Miniver in his film Mother Greer Garson. A year later, he married the 11 years old actress. After the divorce in 1947, he went two more times a covenant of marriage.

He " got " 1949 a stepdaughter named Marcia McMartin, daughter of Ney 's second wife Pauline Settle from her marriage to millionaire Duncan Roy McMartin Settle.

He died in 2004 of heart failure.
