Richard Zajac (2011)

Richard Zajac ( born September 16, 1976 in Žilina) is a Slovak football goalkeeper who is currently the Polish first division club Podbeskidzie Bielsko- Biała under contract.

Career

Association

Zajac is best known from his time at FK Dukla Banská Bystrica, whose gate he guarded over 12 years in 141 games and where he spent already as a youth player 7 years. With this club he joined in 2003 in the Slovak League of first, in 2004 was the runner-up title and won the 2005 Slovak Cup. Thanks to him was also the participation of Dukla Banská Bystrica in the UEFA Cup in seasons 2004/2005 and 2005/ 2006. From 2008 to 2010 Zajac played in another Slovakian first division club, the MFK Dubnica, where he all 33 games completed in the 2008 /2009 season. In the winter of 2010, he joined Podbeskidzie Bielsko- Biała and contributed in the second half of the season crucial to ensuring that the club could keep the class: he held in nine of 15 games a clean sheet, including six times in a row; overall he conceded just 10 goals conceded. In the summer of 2010 he extended his contract with the club until June 2012.

National

Zajac played in 2006 in an unofficial match against Slovakia Kuwait ( 2-0). In addition, he was on the national team in 2004, but was not used in any game.
