Rick Carter

Richard "Rick" Carter ( born 1952 in Los Angeles, California) is an American production designer and art director.

Life

Rick Carter came in 1976 for the film and worked as a part of the art department at This land is my land, The China Syndrome and Out of Control with. In the 1980s he was responsible for the visual design of films such as The Adventures of Buckaroo Banzai - Across the 8th Dimension and was often hired as a Production Designer. He first designed the scene image for Steven Spielberg's television series Amazing Stories, and was afterwards engaged for a number of film productions, in which Robert Zemeckis and Spielberg himself led or directed by Spielberg at least acted as producer. These films include, among other Back to the Future II, Back to the Future III, Jurassic Park, Castaway - Lost and Munich.

After Munich, he was hired for James Cameron's Avatar. For the work on the film Carter was honored with Robert Stromberg and Kim Sinclair 2010 with the Academy Award for Best Production Design. Another Oscar in the same category he won in 2013 for Lincoln.
