Rick Moody

Rick Moody ( born October 18, 1961 in New York City as Hiram Frederick Moody III. ) Is an American author of novels and short stories. His most famous work, The Ice Storm ( engl. The Ice Storm, 1994), a chronicle of the dissolution of two suburban families in Connecticut during the Thanksgiving weekend in 1973, was founded in 1997 by director Ang Lee with Kevin Kline, Joan Allen and Sigourney Weaver in the Starring filmed.

Life

Moody grew up in various suburbs of Connecticut, including Darien and New Canaan. He attended boarding school St. Paul 's School in New Hampshire, graduated from Brown University in Rhode Iceland, earned a master's degree in art at Columbia University in New York. Moody taught at Purchase College in New York and at Bennington College. He lives in Brooklyn and on Fishers Iceland.
