Rimbo

Rimbo is a place ( tätort ) in the Swedish Stockholm County and the historic province of Uppland. The place is part of the municipality of Norrtälje and is 20 km west of the capital Norrtälje.

History

Was the significance of the place in 1884 as the crossroads of several narrow-gauge railway lines of the Stockholm Roslagens Järnvägar network. The last of these compounds was shut down in 1981. There are plans to build the route to Stockholm, which still leads to Kårsta again. A finance this 14 km long space closure is not secured.
