Ring Deutscher Pfadfinderinnenverbände

The ring German Guide associations (RDP ) is the umbrella organization of three Girl Scouts associations in Germany, based in Berlin. The RDP is a member of the World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts ( WAGGGS ), the World Association of Girl Scouts.

The following organizations are members of the RDP:

  • Federation of Scouts and Guides ( BdP - interdenominational )
  • Girl Scouts shaft Sankt Georg (PSG - Catholic)
  • Association of Christian Scouts and Guides ( VCP - Evangelical )

The World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts can per country only an association as a member to - the German Guide associations have therefore the RDP founded as an umbrella organization over which they are organized internationally.

Founded in the RDP 1949, then under the ring name German Scouts frets. The founding members were

  • The Association of German Scouts ( merged in 1976 with the Federation of Scouting BdP )
  • The Evangelical Girl Scouts Federation, representing also the operating only in Bavaria Federation of Christian Scouts (both leagues merged in 1973 with the Christian scouts Germany VCP ),
  • And the PSG.

The RDP was recorded in 1950 as an associate member of WAGGGS, 1954, the RDP became a full member. 2003 a total of 47 523 Girl Scouts member of the RDP.

The male counterpart of the RDP is the ring German Scout associations ( RdP with a small d)

Since 2007, for common events of the ring is a ring scarf, which is also used by the German ring Scout associations.
